Larry Marshall, the new dreamboat
(by: Gerardine Fe C.
Trillana)
BOY bands are a dime a dozen these days. The local music
industry has been swamped by so many boy bands, but with only a handful
making it bigtime and others fading as fast as you could say good bye. But
few have survive, and replace their lack of talent with their superficial
looks.
Take for instance, the Hunks who has capitalized on their good looks and
heavenly bodies in order to qualify as boy band, but sadly, a majority of
them lack singing abilities.
Meanwhile, the Power Boys, popular endorsers of a male deodorant stuff, who
suddenly decided to act out the whole boy band concept of their commercial
and just like the Hunks, their every performance leave much to be desired.
The Masculados, on the other hand, a group of six young men and who act like
Hunks wannabes, seem to be just a local version of the Chippendales.
When the industry seem so crowded with these masculine boy bands, but sadly
have shallow talents to offer, it is a bit of a welcome change that a
genuinely-talented young man can pull it off even if he is alone and not a
member of a boy band.
He is none other than Larry Marshall, nicknamed "Katawang Kano, Pusong
Pinoy" who just recently released his debut album titled "Ikaw Ang Dahilan."
Larry comes from the formidable stable of Viva Records' talents
The 6'2, blonde and blue-eyed singer is a true blue American citizen but who
amazingly speaks fluent Tagalog.
Larry has guested in shows like the "Master Showman Presents," "Kung
Mawawala Ka," "Ispup," and many others.
One look at Larry and you'll know that he's a solo act that is new, fresh
and strangely Pinoy.
